Diablo 4 Season 15 Keeps Dropping Secrets: Moophisto, Mefishto and a Sheep Level

Diablo 4's Season 15 launched two weeks ago, and the community is still pulling new secrets out of it. Hell's Legacy is built as a nostalgia run through the series, with Deckard Cain sending players against echoes of the Prime Evils, and it brings dungeons, bosses and items from earlier Diablo games into the modern client. The hidden content goes well beyond that headline pitch.

The biggest payoff is the end of the years-long cow level hunt. Players who slog through the cow level and beat the cow king can now push on to fight Moophisto, the Divine Bovine. Another long-running tease has paid off too: Mefishto, the secret fishing boss Blizzard hinted at with an odd infomercial around the Lord of Hatred expansion, can finally be caught.

Nostalgia runs deeper still. Players quickly found runewords and items from older games, including the prized Enigma, which turns each class's evade into a teleport. Collecting all of Deckard Cain's journals opens Old Tristram, complete with Diablo 1 faces like Griswold, Wirt and Adria, and an Uber Prime Evil fight in the style of Diablo 2. For something sillier, Diablo 3's Whimsyshire has arrived after being teased in the cow-level quest, packed with hundreds of colorful killer teddy bears and unicorns.

Then there is the Lucky Coin questline, which has puzzled players since Diablo 4 launched. The last coin is now obtainable. Convert each coin into a special piece of jewelry, equip them, and head to Lorath's old house to open a portal to a new Echo of the Horadrim fight against the tormented souls of Lorath, Neyrelle and Donan.

None of this has closed the book. A piece of the cow-themed Bovine armor set is still missing, and a fished-up teddy bear head seems to reference a quest from the Hellfire expansion, possibly tying back to Whimsyshire. The Horadrim boss drops a Horadric Coin whose use is unknown. Players also found a secret sheep level inside the cow level, which rewards an item called Map of the Stars, apparently a nod to a deleted Diablo 1 quest. Its description reads, "Oh for hell's sake, what now!?" Lore expert Loatheburger has also flagged a possible trigger involving salvaging a set number of Stone of Jordan rings to summon a special Diablo boss.

The season lands well for Blizzard after a disappointing Season 14, with a crowd-pleasing theme and plenty of content lifted from the series' past. Players are also growing stronger than ever thanks to a Mythic Unique trick that may not be intentional.

Looking ahead, Diablo 4 will not get more expansions as attention moves to Diablo 5, due in 2029, but Blizzard says new seasons will keep coming long term. The Amazon arrives as a standalone class DLC in the first half of next year.
