The Last of Us Duology Hits Its Lowest PC Price Yet at Fanatical

If you have been holding out on Naughty Dog's post-apocalyptic tearjerkers, the wait may be over. Both The Last of Us Part 1 and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered have hit their lowest PC prices yet at Fanatical, and the Steam keys undercut the cheapest the games have ever been on Steam itself.

The Last of Us Part 1 is available for $26.69 / £22.24, while Part 2 Remastered sits at $29.99 / £23.99. Together, that is a full duology for well under the price of a single new release.

Both are the remastered versions, which matters. Part 1 arrives with upgraded visuals and reworked combat, which was long considered one of the original game's softer spots. Part 2 Remastered also gets a visual bump, and it includes the roguelite mode, a fast and brutal way to enjoy the sequel's excellent combat without committing to the story.

For anyone unfamiliar, the first game follows Joel, a smuggler still grieving the loss of his daughter decades after the outbreak. He is asked to escort a teenager named Ellie across the country, since she may be immune to the infection and could hold the key to a cure. Part 2 jumps ahead four years, with Ellie now an adult settled in a small town. Events turn sour, and she leaves that life behind in search of revenge. The sequel reframes much of what the first game set up and pushes players to question their own morals along the way.

The gameplay may not be genre-defining, but the draw here is the storytelling, backed by strong voice acting and thoughtful level design. The series takes the well-worn apocalypse setup and finds plenty of distinctive ways to make its world feel lived in.
