Remothered: Red Nun's Legacy Brings Silent Hill's Yamaoka and Dimitrescu's Voice to Sicily

Stormind Games has released a new trailer for Remothered: Red Nun's Legacy, unveiled during the latest Horror Game Awards showcase. The video is a slow tour of Sicily, with weathered stone buildings, marble fountain angels, and Mount Etna glowing in the distance. Stormind's developers are based on the island, and the studio says the setting comes from what the team has lived, seen, and breathed. The aim is to make the locations feel remembered rather than researched.

The Remothered series has never been easy to recommend without caveats. Tormented Fathers arrived in 2018 and its sequel, Broken Porcelain, followed in 2020. Both were praised for their gothic atmosphere and stylish, Dario Argento-like imagery, but many players found the storytelling tangled and hard to follow. Red Nun's Legacy has the same visual ambition, and the trailer suggests the look is as opulent as ever. The question is whether the story has become easier to follow.

The stronger selling points are the people behind the project. Akira Yamaoka, the composer best known for his work on the Silent Hill series, is returning for the score. His industrial, driving sound fits the decaying grandeur of the game's locations, and it may be the feature that pulls longtime horror fans in first. The Red Nun stalker is voiced by Maggie Robertson, who played Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village. Her role in that game made the character one of the most talked-about villains of recent years, and Robertson's performance here is likely to draw similar attention.

Red Nun's Legacy launches on October 27 for consoles and PC. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is scheduled for December 3. Fans who have followed the series since the first game will want to see whether Stormind has refined its storytelling, or whether the studio is leaning on atmosphere and a strong cast to carry the experience.
