Pokemon Go October 2026: Zorua Community Day, Gigantamax Cinderace and a Two-Part Halloween

Pokemon Go's Twilight Trails season enters its second month with a packed October calendar. There are new Pokemon, a fresh costumed Pikachu, a Community Day starring a master of disguise, and a Halloween celebration that runs into November.

The month opens with Harvest Festival: Taken Over from October 2 to 5. Team Go Rocket crashes the party with Shadow Wimpod, Fomantis and Sandygast making their first appearances. Giovanni also shows up. Players who level up their Go Pass earn a Super Rocket Radar, which lets them face him and rescue Shadow Zekrom. Shiny Shroodle debuts, and Shadow Raid catches get more varied stats. A Charged TM can also remove Frustration from a Shadow Pokemon.

On October 3, Gigantamax Cinderace debuts as a six-star Max Battle boss from 2 to 5 PM local time, with a shiny chance. Power Spots refresh faster, hand out far more Max Particles, and the daily Remote Raid limit rises from 10 to 20 on October 2 and 3. World Space Week follows from October 4 to 10 and introduces Astronaut Pikachu, available through raids and Timed Research, with a shiny version possible.

Zorua Community Day lands on October 10 from 2 to 5 PM. Zorua spawns disguised as your current buddy Pokemon, so look for doppelgangers on the map. Shiny odds are boosted, and some Zorua carry a special background. Any Zorua evolved before 9 PM learns Sucker Punch on becoming Zoroark. Bonuses include triple catch XP, double catch candy, longer Incense and Lure Modules, and half-price Stardust on trades.

The Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek runs October 13 to 19 and brings Bramblin, the grass/ghost tumbleweed, through Incense and Go Pass tasks. Mega Manectric can now be raised to Super Max Level. Sandile Hatch Day follows on October 17 from 11 AM to 5 PM, with halved egg distance and a shiny chance from 2 km eggs. A second Dynamax Max Battle Day is set for October 24, with details still to come.

Halloween Part I runs October 27 to 31, and a Super Mega Raid Day on October 31 brings a new Mega-Evolved Pokemon. Part II continues from November 1 to 5.

On the raid side, Xerneas (September 30 to October 6), Yveltal (October 7 to 13), Dialga (October 14 to 20), Palkia (October 21 to 27) and Origin Forme Giratina (October 28 to November 3) rotate through five-star raids. Mega Raids go Victreebel, Blastoise, Dragonite, then Charizard X and Y together, and finally Sableye. Shadow Incarnate Forme Landorus takes over Shadow Raids from October 7.

Spotlight Hours run Thursdays from 6 to 7 PM local time: Seedot with 2x catch XP on October 1, Elgyem with 2x catch candy on October 8, Stufful with 2x transfer candy on October 15, Morelull with 2x catch Stardust on October 22, and Gastly with 2x evolution XP on October 29.
