Druckmann made the announcement at the end of this year's The Last of Us Day, when he ran through where the studio's current projects stand. The "full reveal" wording suggests we should expect a proper showcase next year, not another short teaser. It also doesn't say when the game will actually ship, so a launch could still be a good way off.

The bigger surprise was about The Last of Us. Druckmann said the studio is working on two new projects that "will expand the canon of The Last of Us beyond Part I and Part II." He didn't say what form either one takes, and he didn't confirm that either is a game.
