Control Resonant Adds Photo Mode and "New Game Plus Plus" Next Month

Remedy Entertainment is not finished with Control Resonant. Days after the RPG's upside down world went live, the studio behind Alan Wake and Max Payne has shared the first details of what it plans to add after launch.

The headline addition is a New Game Plus Plus mode, arriving next month. As the name hints, it goes a step past the standard New Game Plus setup. Players can carry their progress into another playthrough, and then another, with no obvious ceiling. The source material quotes the pitch as "Do 665 runs if you want!", a cheeky nod to the number just short of the devil's own.

Alongside that, Remedy is preparing a Photo Mode, a feature that fans of the studio's moody, surreal visuals have been hoping for. Control has always leaned heavily on striking architecture, shifting environments and dramatic lighting, so a proper camera tool feels like a natural fit for the genre-bending sequel.

New outfits are also on the list. Remedy has not gone deep on what they look like or how they will be unlocked, and the studio has so far only described the plan as "currently" including these items, which suggests the roadmap could grow as the team gathers feedback from players.
