Clair Obscur and Plague Tale Among 9 Games Leaving Game Pass

Xbox Game Pass is about to lose another batch of games. On October 15, nine titles will exit the subscription service, and the lineup includes one of the most acclaimed releases of 2025, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

The full list of departures is The Casting of Frank Stone, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Crime Scene Cleaner, Donut County, Evil West, Superball, Nova Roma (Game Preview), Pacific Drive and A Plague Tale: Requiem.

The timing stings for horror fans. October is the spookiest month of the year, yet The Casting of Frank Stone, the Dead by Daylight spin-off, is on its way out, along with the dark medieval adventure of A Plague Tale: Requiem. Evil West, a monster-slaying action game that earned a solid 7/10, is also on the clock. Pacific Drive, the eerie roguelite driving game that mixes a tense atmosphere with mystery and survival, rounds out the standouts.

Anyone who wants to keep playing after the deadline has an option. Game Pass members can buy these games at 20% off while they remain in the catalog, which makes it a decent moment to pick up a favorite permanently rather than lose access.

This month's cull is smaller than September's. That month saw 18 games leave the service, among them The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Sifu and Frostpunk 2. Still, losing a heavy hitter like Expedition 33 will matter to subscribers who haven't gotten to it yet.

With less than two weeks to go, the practical advice is simple: start the ones you care about now, or grab the discount before the 15th.
